We aim to promote mutual interracial understanding and collaboration in our Bridge Project, a program for bridging the ethnically-motivated divide between Asian- and African-American communities. This is accomplished via lectures from CSUN collaborators, community gatherings, and educational camps aimed at promoting tolerance and unity as opposed to the status quo of narrow-mindedness and preconception. Specific programs encompassed in the project include:

  • Our winter camp of 2021, with a participation of three African-American families and an African-American teacher

  • Our STEM for girls lecture, aimed at promoting inclusion with a demographic not archetypically associated with hard scientific fields
