11:10 to 11:40 Aha! Logic Puzzle with Benjamin Sun

Class Materials: At this point, nothing, except your brain and your critical thinking skills

Class Description: This class plans to develop students’ ability to solve problems, mostly by showing them ways to ‘see’ an easy way to solve problems. Essentially, I will teach the students to have so-called ‘Eureka!’ moments in day-to-day problem solving, by giving them idealized problems from the book Aha! by Martin Gardner, and then letting them work on those problems. I will then explain the required mental jump (aha!) in order to easily solve the problem without too much work.
11:50 to 12:50 Lunch with Aaron Ellis
Games, story, video, fun time with a big brother.

1:00 to 1:30 Art  and Craft Gianna Zhang and Ariel Li
Class description: Gianna will be teaching natural art, art made out of plants and other things. The crafts will be simple things like painting rocks or making picture frames out of sticks. We will do crafts like making animals out of plants, imprints of leaves, pressed leaves and flowers and bean art. Ariel will be helping Gianna as TA.
