Dear CHEER Community,

Lunar New Year is just around the corner, and we’re excited to invite you and your families to our 2026 Lunar New Year Celebration – Year of the Horse! 

CHEER is proud to co-host this community-wide celebration in partnership with the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) and the Office of Councilmember John Lee (CD12) on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Northridge Park.

The event will feature a vibrant lineup of multicultural performances, including traditional dance, martial arts, lion dance, taiko drumming, youth orchestra, and K-pop and youth dance performances.

Families can also enjoy a wide range of interactive activity booths, such as:

• Chinese calligraphy

• Face painting

• Arts and crafts

• Traditional games

• Photo stations with horses and cultural displays

We encourage families to wear traditional or festive cultural attire and join us for photos, fun, and a joyful day of connection and celebration!
