Day 3 of the PALS STEAM CAMP was a huge success! Many of the kids were engaged and intrigued by the Sustainability presentation made by the Environmental Leadership Club from North Hollywood High School. From this presentation, they learned about what they could do to help the climate, as well as the detrimental affects that humans had on the environment. This included species going extinct and increased wildfires. After learning about all these issues, all of the attending students wrote letters to various city, state, and national leaders, asking them to take action on the climate. From this exercise and presentation, many of these kids walked away knowing that they could make a difference in the world around them, and they could make their voices heard.
