On Saturday, June 24, CHEER hosted a cleanup with OVERDUE at the LA River and Balboa Park! Volunteers went down by the river to clean-up trash and spread out to the surrounding area. There was a lot of trash around Balboa Lake, because many people held parties there. After the clean-up, students spent around an hour going around the park and lake to spread awareness on the importance of cleaning up and protecting the environment, and encouraged many people to join the weekly cleanups with OVERDUE!
