Cleanup Event on Devonshire: 9/17/22; 8-10 am

On Saturday, September 17th, from 8-10 am, CHEER trash cleanup volunteers partnered up with volunteers from communities across the north valley for the Summer Earth Day Event, Clean Devonshire of Litter event, sponsored by John Lee. They cleaned up the curbs, streets, and sidewalks on Devonshire Street from Topanga Canyon Blvd to Arleta Park (12+ miles in the 2 hours).

CHEER volunteers, which included more than 12 families (35 people) were in charge of cleaning the streets from Tampa to Wilber.

All volunteers who participated in the clean-up received a “We Volunteers Pick Up Trash” T-shirt. After the event, volunteers were given a celebration and awards, at Oakridge Park in Reseda with a free Ice Cream Social and many other events sponsored by the Northridge West Neighborhood Council.

We thank ‘Volunteers Cleaning Communities’ for partnering with Shepherd Church to organize this meaningful event. And thank you to all the volunteers who participated, making our communities cleaner!!

We hope that more people can join more of our cleanups in the future!! Be sure to check our Meetup group for the latest events!! If you haven’t entered here is the link to our group: https://www.meetup.com/cheer-community-group/, (download the app, make an account, and join!!)
