The clothing drive was a huge success! CHEER partnered with Troop 777 from the Boy Scouts of America. We gathered 280 bags of clothes for Troop 777, so many that the pickup RV came three times! The first time, Michelle Liu helped collect 80 bags of clothing. The second time, Michelle Liu helped to collect fifty bags. Then finally, on November 22nd, we set up a drop-off location in Northridge park. More than twenty families stopped by within two hours to drop off clothes, shoes, bedding, and even new toys for the 2022 LAPD PAL toy drive! The truck came to Northridge Park around 6:30 pm and picked up 140 bags. Special thanks to Michelle Liu for collecting donations at her house in Porter Ranch. Thank you to our CHEER youth volunteers, Patrick Li, Jerry Yang, Hannah Yang, and Angela Yang. In total, over 45 families signed up to donate to the clothing drive. We cannot name every person who donated, as it would be too long of a list, but we want to thank each and every one of you for making this possible and supporting the local community!
