On April 6, 2023, fourteen CHEER members (eight families) helped Operation Gratitude to make "Battalion Buddy" bears. These bears are to accompany kids while their parent(s) are on active duty. CHEER volunteers also brought thank-you cards to pay appreciation to the veterans. During our two hours, we made 104 "Battalion Buddy" bears. We feel that these two hours are well-spent and meaningful because 104 children will be happy and warm while their parents are risking their lives to protect our country. We all hope to come here more often because volunteering at Operation Gratitude is fun and worthwhile.
