Recycling day- Aug 27, 2022

On Saturday, August 27th, Cheer community hosted another recycling event for the Santa Clarita Valley Branch. Despite the heat wave, many of our families participated. We were delighted to welcome new participants to the program including Justin, Sophia, Kendrick, Thomas and Kate. Our new members not only learned about recycling, but also made new friends. Participants delivered their aluminum cans, plastic, and glass to Richard H. Rioux park. Thomas, Sofia and Kate then brought all the accumulated bags to the recycling center, and then sorted and turned in the contents with the help oversight of the recycling center staff. This recycling drive managed to raise $36.12, with the proceeds donated to the Cheer organization. Thanks to Justin, Lucas, Kendrick, Yimeng, Yilu, Sofia, Thomas, and Kate for contributing to the meaningful recycling event! We hope more family will be able to participate in the future.
