On Sunday, the SCV branch of CHEER had our first ever potluck event! Many families, both returning and new, brought homemade foods to Richard Rioux Park to get together and enjoy the Sunday afternoon!
First, we played many different games such as a hula-hoop competition and 3 legged-race! I think my personal favorite was the 3 legged-race! It was so fun to see everyone trying their hardest to not fall and stay balanced!
After that, we all went to eat from the many dishes that our wonderful members made! There were chicken wings, spicy noodles, soup, and even desserts like cookies! After, the kids were done eating, they played several more games including marshmallow tower, outdoor scavenger hunt, musical chairs, and more! All in all, this Potluck event was a lot of fun and a great way for all of us to welcome new members into our branch!
