On Sunday 9/12/2021, CHEER hosted a trail clean up located at O'melveny Park trails. A total of 10 people were there, picking up trash and putting them in bags. Many people saw what we were doing and complemented us on doing such good work for the environment. after a very successful 1 hour or picking up trash, we had filled up a total of almost 3 trash bags full of trash. We encourage others to join us and participate in future CHEER events. Picking up trash helps our environment. A plastic bottle could stay there for thousands of years before it decomposes. Every little bit picked up helps! A reminder to stay safe: If you are going to help our environment and pick up trash, please make sure you stay safe and use a tool to pick up trash. Never have physical contact with trash, as it may harm/infect you with anything, which is especially important right now during Covid. Keep a lookout for the next cleanup! We have had 4 so far!
